This image was taken during the Centennial Parade in Downtown Bartlett. The Bartlett Fire Protection District's equipment participated. People sat on the sides of the street as the parade floats went by. Everyone had a great time!

A Model #38 Howe Hand Pumper was purchased that year for $720.00. To celebrate the nation's Bicentennial in 1976, the hand pumper was restored (picture here at that time). As of 2025, the pumper is on exhibit at Fire Station #1.
