Eugene Haase and Violet Jensen Haase open a card with a monetary gift on their April 12, 1948 wedding day. The reception was held at Violet's parent's business, the Bartlett Tavern. A tablecloth covered the pool table on which all the food was placed. Sandwiches, salads, potato chips and punch were on the menu. The wedding cake was dessert.
