Frank Bucaro (1921-2001) retired from his job in downtown Chicago in 1980. He celebrated on his last Metra ride home with fellow commuters and his wife Lois Petersen Bucaro (middle photo). He wore a red cap and boutonniere for the occasion. Bucaro served as a Bartlett Village trustee from 1957-1963.

Hat, hard, 12" l x 9"w x 7"h, plastic, white, printed in blue, "Metra, Metropolitan Rail" More than 133 years would pass before Bartlett would see the construction of a new train station. On November 6, 2006, ground was broken for the Metra station located on Railroad Avenue, just steps east of its 1873 counterpart. This hard hat was worn by then Village President Catherine Melchert.
