Postcard, 4" w x 6" l, black & white, Front- clapboard building with windows and steeple, surrounded by trees, Back- label attached states, "Immanuel United Church of Christ by Jeff Stewart" This postcard is part of a series taken by Bartlett High School students in the Advanced Photo Class during the 2005-2006 school year. The postcards were sold as a fundraiser by the school. This image was taken by Jeff Stewart. Located at 415 W. North Avenue, the church was incorporated in 1891. It was designed by William Wright Abell and features stained glass windows and a steeple which contains a 609 pound bronze bell which still rings today. Though not Bartlett's first religious facility, it is Bartlett's oldest continuing religious congregation. |
