Poster, political, 8 1/2" w x 11" l, cardstock, white, blue printing, Front- "Count on Cathy, Vote, Vote, Melchert" illustration of 'vote' button in each corner, portrait photographic in center of woman, Back- "You can count on Cathy to..." with list of accomplishments and background. Catherine "Cathy" Melchert moved to Bartlett with her husband Phil and family on June 13, 1970. In 1982, she was appointed to serve on the village board. In 1983, she ran to complete a vacant two-year term winning with 525 votes against her opponent's's 171 votes. This was her campaign poster from that election. Cathy went onto serve as Bartlett's first female village president. |
