a- Certificate, Confirmation, Booklet,5 1/2" w x 7 1/2 " l, folded, Cover- illustration of dove, chalice, Bible, flowers, printed in black- "In Remembrance of my Confirmation", inside-12 pages of illustrated Bible verses and comments, Back- illustration Lamb of God, ribbon tie on left side. b- Envelope, written in ink- "Mary L. Johnson" Mary Johnson Arens ( 1915-2011), was confirmed at Immanuel United Church of Christ on April 13, 1930. Reverend William Rathmann was the minister at that time. Simply stated, confirmation is the reaffirming the covenant created in baptism. Mary was one of six young people confirmed that day which was Palm Sunday. |
