Card, greeting, 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" folded, paper Front- Die-cut illustration of girl driving red car stopped by policeman holding a red heart, "Stop! and mend my broken heart...be my Valentine." Back- signed in pencil, "From Fred Benicke to Miss Ness" Miss Elvina Ness was one of Fred's teachers at Bartlett School. Miss Ness, who became Elvina Ness Brandt in August 1930, was a beloved educator and a great saver. She kept many cards given to her by students through her 47-years of teaching. |
