Card, greeting 3 1/2" w x 4 1/2" l (folded), paper, full color, Front- illustration of snowman looking up to the moon, snow on ground, in white- "Merry Christmas", in black- "Around about this time of year...it's true", Inside- illustration of snowman pointing to hole in tree, moon laughing, tree hole- "Insert Currency Here", in black- "So here's a little wherewithal, in case you might be, too!", Back- "A Hallmark Card...copyright 1944." December 21, the winter solstice, is also the shortest day of the year, with the least amount of daylight occurring. This Hallmark card, copyrighted in 1944, acknowledges this fact and provides a little financial antidote for the receiver. The card appears to have never been used and is from the estate of Harvey and Elvina Brandt. |
