Matchbook, 4 1/4" l x 3 1/2" w, paper, Front Cover - "Season's Greetings" is printed in red ink against a blue background with a red house, trees, and snow all illustrated, "Close cover before striking" is printed toward the bottom, Inside - "All Best Wishes, Ed and Serena, Bartlett Tavern" is printed in black against a tan square background, the square has two holly leaves, one on top and one on bottom, around it, toward the bottom is the "Giant Feature Match Books" logo, there is one match left which is not secured in the matchbook, Back Cover - blue background, illustration of a tree with snow on and around it, and there is a yellow shining star to the right of the treetop. Giant Feature Match Books, a division of Lion Match Co., produced oversized unique matchbooks for businesses and service establishments featuring a variety of themes including Christmas. Each match stick measures 3 ¼" x ¼". The business could personalize the matchbook as seen here with Ed and Serena Jensen, then owners of the Bartlett Tavern, sending a unique holiday greeting to their patrons. |
