Ticket, 6" l x 4 1/2" w, paper, pink, Front- printed in black- "Herbst-Parade 1907... Bestimmungen umstehend", upper left corner- graphic with "Invalidendank" Back- printed in black- "Polizeiliche Bestimmungen..." Bartlett's George Struckman returned to Germany, his birthplace, for an extended visit in 1907. He attend this fall parade in Invalidendank, a town about 14 miles east of Berlin, the country's capital. The ticket cost 5 Marks and give him a seat in Stand B, Rise 2, Row 9. Attendees were given notice on the ticket that "vom beginn der parade anaufstehen u schirmoffnen verboten."Translated that means "from the beginning of the parade getting up and opening the umbrella is prohibited." |
