Box, postcard, 6"w x 4"h x 2 1/2"d, wood, embellished with people wearing tradition Dutch costume, word- "Post Cards", using art of pyrography (wood burning), hinged top opening lid. Dorothy Heinberg (1918-2016) was a longtime Bartlett resident and Milwaukee Road employee. With the perk of free railroad travel she frequently vacationed and did her co-workers. She saved many of their postcard greetings in this charming wooden postcard box which is embellished with people wearing traditional Dutch costume, using the art of pyrography (wood burning). |
