Sack, 20" x 36", cotton, yellow background with white and pink dogwood branches and flowers in bloom. Sewn on three sides with one short side open. Sacks, such as this one, were sewn into dresses for young girls, especially during the Great Depression. They were also used for curtain material and as dish towels. |
