T-shirt, size Large, white, cotton, short sleeves, neck and sleeves banded in pink (possibly once red) contrasting knit, Front- printed in navy blue- "Bartlett Firemens Picnic", logo in center- "Fire 1988 Dept" with illustration of hydrant, ladder and pick pole, Back- nothing. This 1988 T-shirt is from the then Bartlett and Countryside Fire Protection District. Though the community wide annual Firemen's Festival which was held on a weekend in August from 1938-1969 had ended, members of the department once gathered each summer for a picnic which included their family members. At one time the picnic was held across the street from the Fire Barn, located at 218 S.Main Street, on the property that was once Felx-Weld, today razed. |
