Postcard, 3 1/2" l x 5 1/2" w, paper, Front- image where the camera is looking down the street, there are houses and fences on either side of the street, "40503, A view in Bartlett, Ill." is written in white at the bottom of the image, Back- "Post Card" is printed to the left of the stamp, a note is written on the left side and a name and address is written on the right side of the postcard. This real photo post card, produced by the Gem Photo Company of Freeport, Illinois, is postmarked 1911. Looking west in this image you can see the gas street lights and hitching posts of a bygone era. |
