Description |
Patch, 2 3/4" l x 4 1/2" w, fabric, black and white embroidery of a racecar which says "Shadow, UOP", above the racecar it says "CAN-AM". In 1968, UOP had merged with Calumet and Hecla, who had previously merged with Flexonics in 1960. In the decades that followed, UOP manufactured several metal hose products. In 1975, they sponsored a Formula One racing team called the UOP Shadow. Flexonics, today Senior Flexonics, is located at 300 E. Devon Avenue. This patch belonged to Ray Pedersen, who worked at Flexonics for 23 years. |
