Calendar, 10 3/4" l x 10" w, spiral bound, paper, "The American Album" is printed in white against a black and white image and text box with a brown border, 12 months with black and white images above the monthly calendars, on the back of December there are 9 vintage advertisements, below this, in brown ink, there is a space to write phone numbers, at the very bottom of the page is printed "Arnie's Standard...Arnie Krause, Owner" Arnold "Arnie" Krause (1949-2021) was born in Bensenville, IL and raised on the family's farm. In Bartlett, he owned Arnie's Standard once located at 201 W. Oneida Avenue, today the site of a village parking lot. The station was built in 1960 by the Standard Oil Co. and operated by several people prior and after Krause who sold it to Jim Jensen in July 1982. Krause was also a firefighter for the then Bartlett and Countryside Fire Protection District. |
