Names are used to create the architecture of the building. White paint used to cover/correct some names. Back- written in black marker, "Louis & Gladys Humbracht" in pencil- "Adolph Link, Roselle, Ill, Phone- Roselle 3238" Chartered in August 1891, Immanuel is Bartlett's oldest continuing congregation. Holding true to the belief that a church is not the brick and stone of the structure but is truly its individual members, Adolph Link penned this ink drawing of Immanuel in 1952 using the names of the members that made up the congregation at that time. This is the original artwork. From this, copies were name. |
