Baseball in display case, ball- 9" dia, case- 5" h x 3 w x 3w, leather, cork, plastic, Ball- white leather with red stitching, printed in black- "Rawlings, Official League, OLB3", Case- black plastic base with silvertone plaque, printed in black- "Glen A. Koehler Fields of Bartlett, Dedicated June 14, 2003", clear plastic removable top. Located at 2255 Southwind Blvd, near Route 25 and West Bartlett Road, the baseball and softball fields were named for one-time Bartlett resident and former Village President Glen A. Koehler (1940-1998) who served in this position from 1981-1989. The Village of Bartlett, the Bartlett Park District and Bartlett Little League shared the expense of building the fields which cost about $100,000 each to develope. To commemorate the event, this baseball and case were given to village boards members and others who helped bring the fields to fruition. |
