Description |
Token, 1 1/4" diameter, bronze color, metal, Front- printed in the metal are the words "Good for 5 Cents in Trade" Back- printed in the metal are the words "W and H Bartlett ILL." In 2019, about ten of these tokens were found wedged into the wooden counter grooves at the Bartlett Tap, located at 113 W. Railroad Avenue. The interior was undergoing restoration at the time of the discovery. The W & H could stand for Henry L. Humbracht and Fred Winkelman who partnered in a saloon business in 1914. The location of this saloon is unknown. |
