Description |
Trophy, 13 1/4" l x 5" w, wood base and cylinder, metal golfer and two eagles, engraved metal plate- "1st PL, Low Gross, Bartlett Firemans Open". Bottom of trophy- 3 bolts and sticker with "Mumber Won Award 8336". Walter "Wally" Vlasak (1925-2013) was a longtime member of the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoyed the game of golf. The onetime annual Bartlett Firemen's Open can trace its beginning back to 1966. Wally was awarded this trophy for "Low Gross" which means he had the lowest score without accounting for his handicap. Unfortunately, the trophy is not dated. |
