Maurice and Tyra Van Acker operated taverns in several location throughout the years. What help dates this tavern is the inside information that they also owned a trucking business. In 1947, Van Acker listed his Route 20 trucking business up for sale complete with four trucks, limestone, etc. By the early 1950s, the couple was operating Van Acker's at Higgins and Bartlett Road in Barrington. |
