Description |
Helmet, 12' l x 11" w x 8 1/2" high, metal, plastic, leather, Bartlett Raiders 1976 football helmet, model Wilson f2000, leather interior padding, chinstrap missing, four black skull and crossbones on back. This Wilson f2000 helmet, worn by players on the Bartlett Raiders Youth Football teams, was retired in 1976 when the rules were changed on helmet use. In 1972, a group of residents formed the Bartlett Athletic Association, Inc. to start a youth football and later cheerleading programs in Bartlett under the team name of the Bartlett Raiders. Donated by George Werderich who was a coach from 1973-1984 and one of the founders of the association. |
