Description |
Doll, 15" h x 7" w x 4" d, 1940s Horsman Enchanting Eyes , composition flange head, partial composition arms & legs, cloth stuffed body, brown painted molded hair, sleep flirty eyes, red-lipped closed mouth. Doll marked: "A Horsman Doll." Clothing: cream, linen dress with pink embroidery, satin robe with lace edged collar, knit socks, bow tied leather booties, pleated satin bonnet. Esther Schultz Lichthardt (1931-1983) was the daughter of Walter and Bertha Schultz. Born in Wheaton, by the late 1930s the family had moved to Bartlett, living on Railroad Avenue. In 1972 she, her husband Richard Lichthardt and their family moved to Hampshire. This Horsman doll was hers and after her passing saved by her daughter until it was donated to the museum in 2019. |
