Sash, 29"l x 5"w, cotton, olive drab, 21 merit patches sewn diagonally in rows of three on the front portion, back plain, given to Ralph Andreasen by the Ladies of 1st Methodist Church in Elgin post war. Top down, left to right badges: Row one: Bird Study, Music Row two: Scholarship, Swimming, Electricity Row three: Civics, Lifesaving, Public Health Row four: Reading, Personal Health, Pioneering Row five: Stamp Collecting, Camping, Firemanship Row six: Chemistry, First Aid, Hiking Row seven: Athletics, Safety, Cooking Row eight: Pathfinding Mix of badge types according to years produced, C: 1936-1946, D: 1942-1946, E:1947-1960 Boy Scout merit badge sash worn by Ralph Andreasen, Bartlett's first Eagle Scout. He achieved that rank on June 25th, 1947 at the age of 21. |
