Scorecard, 6 3/4"l x 4"w (folded), paper, Front- framed in bright blue, color image of barn with pond in front, printed in black- "Bartlett Hills Golf Club", printed in white- "Open to the public...", Inside- chart to record score each hole, advertisements, map of course, U.S.S.A. rules and etiquette. Back- chart to record score each hole, advertisements. Local entertainer Chuck Salvo and Jerry Brooks played a round of golf at Bartlett Hills on July 22, 1983. Beside their scores, the card illustrates just some of the Bartlett businesses during that time frame. Jim Jensen purchased the Standard station on July 1, 1982, operating it until his passing in 1998. The station has since been razed and today a village parking lot. Village Pizza offered some money off when you brought a scorecard in. Century 21 Dustan & Company, Inc. began in 1979. The first office location was in the Country Creek Clubhouse as advertised here. In 1989 the business moved to 221 W. Railroad Avenue, before eventually closing. |
