Painting, 48" w x 24" h, acrylic on canvas painting, Front - imagery includes buildings such as 1873 Bartlett Depot and the BAPS Mandir, and logos such as the Village of Bartlett and the Lion's Club, Back - written in pencil, "Village of Bartlett" with two flowers drawn on both sides Inspired by Bartlett's rich past and present, Dr. Mahood chose places and civic organizations to capture Bartlett's story. The images depict the village from its 1873 establishment, through its tremendous growth to the community it is today. Buildings include Bartlett's 1873 train depot, St. Peter Damian Catholic Church, BAPS Mandir, Bartlett Police Department, Bartlett Fire District Station #1 and Bartlett Public Library District. Civic organizations include the Royal Neighbors, Bartlett Woman's Club, Rotary Club of Bartlett, Arts in Bartlett and the Bartlett Lions Club. From September through October 2024, she was the featured artist in the Arts in Bartlett Gallery located on the second floor in Bartlett Village Hall. |
