Program, 6" w x 9" h folded, paper, cream, Front- printed in black- "Commencement Program, Hanover Township, Bartlett School Auditorium, Wednesday Evening, June 2, 1948, 8 o'clock," Inside- lists the 8th grade graduates by district and order of program, Back- nothing. Bartlett School, District 49, was the host site for the annual 8th graduation ceremony of the schools in Hanover Township. Most of the other schools were one-room at the time and did not have an auditorium/gym like Bartlett. Bartlett usually had the most students, so it is unusual to see only two 8th graders, Burton Taylor and Richard Iverson, graduating. In 1952, Bartlett voted to join School District U-46 and the annual ceremony ceased. |
