The Elgin Junior Service Board celebrated its 50 years of service by hosting a follies in 1982. The Rotary Club of Bartlett's then president Pete FioRito was one of the candidates for the title of "Gold Star Sheriff." Votes cost 5 cents! The money raised benefited dental care, clothing programs, Sherman and St. Joseph Hospitals and more. |
