Image, digital, color, Front- man driving John Deere tractor #2010, wearing yellow shirt, yellow John Deere logo hat, pulling something not totally visible, car and buildings in background. In 1962, the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department added a parade to their annual August weekend festival which was held from 1938 to 1969. The parade included local businesses such as the Bartlett Implement Company, pictured here, with one of the owners Clifford Deverell riding one of the company's tractors. A John Deere dealer, the business operated from 1940 to 1971 at 120 W. Bartlett Avenue. The parade was heading east on Oneida Avenue and ended at Bartlett Park. |
