Back- stamped in black, "May 4, 1958, Photography by Don Honick" Written in pencil, "Paul Heckman, of Bartlett visits the Honick family...LR" Linda Johnson Rossi, second from left, shared this story about this bear cub who visited the village. "Paul Heckman, of Bartlett, dropped in on the Honick family with friends in forestry program at University of Minnesota which included a bear cub they rescued in the Northwoods. Scott [first on left, Linda's half-brother] and I let the cub wake up mom and dad [Virginia and Don Honick]. They had a party the night before, and they were sleeping late." Can you image that! |
