Print, photographic, image size-8 3/4" x 6 1/2", on black matt, black & white, Front- four people, three male, one female, stand outside two-story clapboard building, printed on awning- "Meat market W. E. Bull Meat Market", toy wagon on left, on right is water pump, two auction signs in window. The W. E. Bull Meat Market was once located on Main Street. Pictured here, left to right is owner William Bull, his daughter Esther Bull, an unknown salesman, and Bull's son and twin of Esther, Lester Bull. The building was located on Main Street , block 7 and was right across from Village Hall where the Town Center is today. the structure was razed in the early 1960s. In 1924, Bull moved his business to 116 Bartlett Avenue and he and his family lived above this store. In store window there is an auction poster. Based on the day of the week it matches the 1916 or 1922 calendar. The Bull twins were born in 1901. They look about 15 rather than 21. |
