Print, photographic, 19" l x 15" w, color, Front- photographic image of watercolor painting, cream colored barn scene at night with a silo to right, on which there is a holiday wreath around the letter "B", snow covering ground, trees painted to the left of barn, lower right is sign that states- "STOP Please no parking beyond this point." lower right is signature of artist "W J Schuster '67" Back- blank. The old barn, depicted in this painting by Walter(?) Schuster, was originally built in the late 1920s as a stable for the Bartlett Hills Country Club, but instead it was used as the clubhouse until 1995 when it was razed and replaced with a new one. This is one of two artworks Schuster did concerning Bartlett Hills. Unfortunately, the museum has no information on who this artist is exactly. Research about this artist is ongoing |
