Back- nothing Jane Humbracht stands on the stairs of The Eck, a resturant/bar, with two unidentified men. The Eck building, home to many businesses, was once located at 121 W. Railroad Avenue and razed in May 2018. The building in the background with the awning is 130 W. Bartlett Avenue. At this time is was an ice cream, confectionary, general goods store operated by Moritz Ortmann. The home (left side) is 141 S. Oak Avenue. After her marriage, Jane and her husband Basil "Doc" Ping would become proprietors of The Eck, operating it from 1955 to 1968. |
