Description |
Print, photographic, 8" x 10", black & white, Front- women playing basketball indoor, row of spectators in background, two referees wearing striped shirts on floor. Two charity basketball games were played on March 20, 1959 in Bartlett Elementary School's gym, today the library. The first game, pictured here, pitted the Bartlett Cub Scout moms against the Brownie moms. The Cub Scout moms won and a trophy was presented to them by then Village President John Buelting. The second match-up was between the Bartlett Lions Club and the Bartlett Volunteer Firemen. The Lions won! Afterward, doughnuts and coffee were served at the Fire Barn with all proceeds going to the Cub and Brownie funds. |
