Description |
Transparency, Slide, 2" x 2", color, two-story home, brick on lower portion, white siding on upper, garage and driveway on left, black shutters, landscaped with bushes and trees. In May 1966, Bartlett's Immanuel United Church of Christ dedicated its new parsonage, pictured here in 1977. Located at 427 W. North Avenue, to the west of the church, the home offered all the updated amenities of the day and replaced the congregation's first parsonage, then still located to the south of the church, built in 1899. Today, the home is a private residence and no longer owned by Immanuel. A parsonage is another name for a minister's home and in most cases paid for and maintained by the congregation. |
