Schultz Hardware began operations in 1910, when Herman Schultz opened his first store at 120 W. Bartlett Avenue. In 1926, Schultz had a two-story building constructed at 110 W. Bartlett Avenue, pictured here. Erwin "Erv" Schultz, his oldest son is standing in front by the automobile. The one-story portion to the right, was once the site of Marcus Hurst’s store. The building to the far right was once the office for the lumber yard operation. Notice Bartlett Avenue, in the foreground, was a dirt road! |
