My brother and me, friends we be! Siblings Myrtle Winkelman (1910-1993), left, and younger brother Albert (1913-1981), right, were the children of Alvina and Fred Winkelman. Both kiddos attended Bartlett School. Myrtle was a longtime employee of the Milwaukee Road. Albert attended Elgin High School and Wesleyan College. In 1936, he married Pearl Ness. The couple eventually moved to Arizona in the mid-1950s, where he passed away. |
