Print, photographic, 8" x 10", black & white, Front- man dressed in suit hands trophy to woman wearing Cub Scout neckerchief around neck, partial view of school desks and people in background, Back- stamped- "Photography by Don Honick", "Mar 20 1959" in pencil- "Ruby Roth accepting trophy" The match-up between the Cub Scout moms and Brownie moms, was the first of two fundraiser basketball games played on March 20, 1959 at Bartlett Elementary School. The Cub Scout moms won and a trophy was presented by then Village President John Buelting to Ruby Roth, pictured here. The second match-up was between the Bartlett Lions Club and the Bartlett Volunteer Firemen. The Lions won! Afterward, doughnuts and coffee were served at the Fire Barn with all proceeds going to the Cub and Brownie funds. |
