Print, photographic, 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", color, Front- one woman, five men standing/sitting inside by desk, florescent lights overhead, Back- nothing John Werden (1917-1997) is sitting at a desk and surrounded by other employees of the Milwaukee Road. Werden retired in 1980 as chief clerk of the Freight Claim Prevention Department after 38 years of service with the railroad. The woman on the left could possibly be fellow Bartlett resident Dorothy Heinberg (1918-2016) who worked in the department with Werden for many years. |
