Check out these adorable siblings, left to right, Florence Humbracht Nickel (1912-2005), William "Bill" G. Humbracht (1915-1986) and Harold "Butch" Humbracht (1910-1983). The trio were the children of Alma Schick Humbracht and William C. Humbracht, who were lifelong area residents. The children attended Bartlett School and/or Oak Glen School (once located on the southeast corner of Stearns and S. Bartlett Rod) and all attended Elgin High School. The family were members of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Butch was very active in the Bartlett community and was a charter member of the Bartlett Lions Club. Butch married but had no children. Bill, a WW II veteran, along with his brother, father and brother-in-law Roy Nickel were all at one time involved in the cattle business in the Bartlett area. Bill and his wife Lois had four children, Sandra, Jacqueline, William and Toni. Florence, and her husband Roy remained in the Bartlett area until 1966. The couple had three children, Rita, Marilyn and Roy Jr. |
