Print, photographic, 6 3/4"w x 4 1/2" h, sepia, Front- twenty-three men standing outside on the grass with several dogs and horse and buggies, barn on left. Back- written in ink, "Ester Movitz" in pencil- illegible, stamped- "Property of Bartlett Historical Society" sticker with accession number. What brought these men together for this picture is not known. Louis Humbracht is standing at the head of the horse with his hands in his pockets. His barn is on the left in the photo which was once located on the southeast corner of Oak and North Avenues. His home was across the street on the southwest corner today, 104 S. Oak Avenue. Herman Swain, a farmer in Hanover Township, is standing in front of the horse with one hand on his waist. All the other men are unknown. Note the three dogs in the picture. |
