The Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department poses in front of their pumper outside Bull's Meat Market once located at 116 W. Bartlett Avenue. Left to right, George Wendler, William "Billy" Baxmann, Mose Ortman, Edward Jensen, William Bull, Herbert Schnadt, Russell Porter, Erwin Schmidt, Ernest "Tony" Baxmann, Lester Bull, Alvin Krumfuss. Fire Chef William Bull was the proprietor of the meat market. Note the sign in the window advertising the Firemen's Picnic which was held yearly from 1937-1969 as a fundraiser for the department. |
