Back -nothing. Members of the Bartlett Fire Volunteer Department and others are eating and drinking in the second floor hall of the Bartlett Tavern on March 4, 1953. Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department members standing at a bar. The volunteer with the rag in his back pocket with his back turned to the camera is Elmer Hecht. He was the first fulltime paid employee and longtime fire chief. The man on the right, profile, is Fred "Fritz" Benicke. |
