Print, photograph, 4" x 3" black and white. Front- winter snow scene of cars, buildings, water tower, trees. Back- nothing Could this possibly be the January 26-27, 1967 blizzard? Could be. This picture was taken on S. Oak Avenue, just south of Railroad Avenue looking southeast toward Village Hall, the Village's first water tower and the Fire Barn. The photographer was standing in the parking lot of The Eck Tavern once located at 121 S. Railroad Avenue. The homes on the right were all razed in the early 1990s to make way for the 1991 Police Department expansion. |
