Image, digital, black & white, Front- one female in dress with dark appliques standing inside next to gentleman in dark suit, fireplace, mirror, candles in background. Then Margaret Schauer, poses in 1939 with her prom date, name unknown, in front of the fireplace in her family's home at 101 S. Oak Avenue. Margaret wore a beautiful dress with appliques on the skirt and sleeves. She attended and graduated from Elgin High School in 1939. Margaret Schauer Torrey (1921-1996) returned later to live in the home with her husband and daughter. She is buried in Lakewood Memorial Park |
