Description |
Print, photographic, black and white, 8" x 10", Front- three buildings on a tree lined street with cars, man standing, boy on bicycle, power/telephone lines strung overhead. Back- taped on, newspaper portion that says, "Bartlett Village Hall," and stamped with July 23, 1959. This is a press photo of several buildings on S. Main Street. Bartlett Village Hall is on the left. The bars on the two lower windows are where the jail cells of the police department once was. The building was razed in 1968. Behind the hall is the Water Department and pump house. The middle building is the Fire Barn of the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department. The home on the far right was razed for the IL Bell switch station which was built in 1962. The boy on the bike and the man walking are unknown. |
