Print, photographic, 8 1/2"w x 11"h, black & white, Front- painted striped van with sign that states, "No lion' we're the greatest! Lions Club Bartlett" with fenced area on roof holding a real chained lion and four men, one dressed as Santa Claus, costumed lion walks along side. The1967 Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department's festival parade included a real lion that year riding on top the Bartlett Lions Club entry. The club still sponsors an annual visit from Santa Claus, hence Santa included also. He is tossing candy to the children below most likely left over from the club's annual candy day fundraiser. Behind the van are the large oil tanks, once located adjacent to the railroad tracks, which were used for storage then local delivery. All people in image are unknown. |
