Print, photographic, 8" x 10", black and white, man wearing white cap with badge pointing to piece of fire equipment on which has "1897" and "Bartlett" painted on side. Back- written in ink, "Fire Chief Bull Par?" Then Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department Chief William Bull poses months before his death in December 1949, with the Village of Bartlett's first piece of fire fighting equipment, a 1897 Howe hand pumper. Bull joined the department when it was formed in 1897. |
