St. P & P RR, Bensenville ILL July 22, 1949" The Milwaukee Road provided a job and a free ride to the workplace for many a Bartlett resident. Roy Hinz (1912-1989) row three, second from right, would hop the train each morning to catch a ride to his machinist job in the Bensenville yards and later as a foreman at Galewood. He retired in 1970 after 47 years of service. |
