Print, photographic, 8" w x 5" l, black & white, Front- man on skis handing ski poles to child who appears to have fallen on ski slope snow, Back- in black- "ski instructor Jeff, this young skier, 79, 1/7/81, 42 x 22, 95%, in ink- "Jeff Stein instructor" This image is presumed to have been taken at Bartlett Park District's Villa Olivia. Then Jeff Stein, ski instructor, is helping a fallen child by handing them ski poles. The image is dated January 7, 1981. In 1968, then owner of Villa Olivia, the Phil Corrado family, began a small ski operation on the slope of the 12th and 13th hole fairways of the golf course. In 1970 they began constructing a new expanded ski hill with chair lift which is still in service today. |
